Hutech

This seemed to be a pretty good idea but it ended up not being one. I ordered this mount from Hutech for use with a PST solar scope. The performance is a little bit jerky but it settles pretty quick. The biggest problem that I had with this mount was that it has a lot of plastic in its construction. This resulted in the base that locks the AZ control to become stripped and inoperable. I contacted Hutech to see if I could send it in for repair, it was under "warranty". To my surprise they told me that there was no way to repair the mount unless they sent it to Japan and that it would be really expensive. They didnt even offer to replace it. Pretty much they said it is what it is and that they could do nothing for me so I still have a mount that does not work properly. I have tried to repair this mount on my own but to no avail. Be cautious if you decide to deal with Borg/Hutech USA and make sure that you get any warranty and repair information from them before purchasing their products!!!
