Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Eyepiece Reviews:Edmund Scientific RKE 28mm

I've owned the complete set of RKEs for over a decade. They are well made and threaded for filters. They are sharp edge to edge, no noticable distortion and bright. These are not kelner type eyepieces, I have two kelners and the RKEs are far superior. They are nearly identical to the plossels I have, a bit brighter and a little more eye relief, but a slighty narrower field of view. All said, I think these are the cheapest good quality eyepieces available and a good value.

Entry: Astronomy:Places To Buy:Celestron International

I bought a friend's Nexstar 5 telescope. It had been one of the first scopes to be shipped and it had a loose corrector plate which he had never noticed. Even though Celestron knew I was not the original owner and it was out of warranty anyway, Celestron fixed it for free. They also upgraded the software for free. They even paid for the shipping back. The scope was gone a total of six days and is now working great. I can't imagine customer service any better than this. Thanks Celestron.

Entry: Astronomy:Equipment Reviews:Misc Accessories:Celestron Focal Reducer/Field Flattener

Works as advertised on my Nexstar 5. No noticable reduction in sharpness and minimal brightness loss. I tend to forget it's even on the scope after a while. Doesn't work with focal lengths 35mm and larger. A solid investment for S-C owners.
