This is an excellent medium-low power eyepiece for use in a 5" APO. In my TOA 130 I am able to frame M81 and M82 in the same FOV at 58X. Open clusters are simply outstanding in this EP , with the stellar images pinpoint across the entire FOV. If you are able to afford only one premium eyepiece , this is it!

My favorite higher power eyepiece in my TOA 130. With this EP I am able to easily resolve Castor , see Cassini's division clearly (when seeing permits) , and obtain beautiful views of many close double stars. Much sharper and brighter than my 5 mm Radian despite the slightly lower magnification.

This is my standard medium power eyepiece in my Takahashi TOA 130 APO , yielding 83X. It gives very bright and outstandingly sharp images of DSO's. I love the way it performs on open star clusters , such as M35 , M37 , and M46. Sharp stellar images across the entire field of view.

My new Takahashi TOA 130 is mounted on a Takahashi EM-200 Temma 2 PC Jr. "go-to" mount.
The first impression of this telescope is that the fit and finish are exceptional , and completely in line with what one would expect from the manufacturer. There are no flaws in the paint of the beautifully finished tube , and the almost legendary focuser is buttery smooth. After the OTA is clamped into the cradle and the polar alignment accomplished ( a breeze!) , the telescope almost seems to disappear in use. User friendly is the commonly used term , I believe. The mount is rock solid and dampens vibration almost instantly , allowing the user to concentrate on observing. One could not find finer optics anywhere than those of this telescope. When coupled with a package of Televue Panoptic and Nagler eyepieces , the deep sky and planetary performance is truly outstanding. I am a completely satisfied owner!

This is my "default option" eyepiece. I begin every observing session with it. The wide FOV it provides allows me to acquire faint DSO's easliy and center them prior to increasing magnification. Sharp, contrasty , and bright! All the eyepiece I need for many open clusters. M81 and M82 both fit in nicely with plenty of room. M31 is a stunning jewel at 29X , and only an experienced eye can tell that it is barely squeezed in. A perfect eyepiece to compliment a 5" APO.
