Subject: Rini 30mm Vote By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.4.13) Date: 10/26/2005 07:49:08 am PST I used a pair of these with Denkmeier Standard Binoviewer with 2" OCS in my 22" f/4. The field stop on these is 28.5mm. The view of DSOs are simply spectacular with the Rinis. Compared to 24mm Panoptics, the true field of view is a tad wider, but the image is not quite as crisp. Also, the light throughput is less than the Pans - mainly because the lenses in the Rini are only single-coated with magnesium flouride. However, the 24 Pans cost 11 times as much. The Rinis are one of the biggest bargains in eyepieces today. Note - I had to fit each eyepiece with a rubber eyeguard due to the long eye relief. Shneor Page 1 of 1 |
