what kind of scope?>This is a very comfortable to use optically sharp eyepiece. Its a LOT better than some people make it out to be.

Whereas the 15mm TV puts up very blue images, the RKE throws up an image that is shaded more to the red like Brandons and Pentax XL's. To me this coloring looks more natural, but I honestly don't know which color shading is more "correct". The moon, for instance is much more brown in color and red stars are more red. I like this.

Its not quite as sharp as the $239 Clave', which as far as image quality is probably in my mind the winner of this group, but not by a clear margin....I'm still testing. It's not quite as sharp at the center of the field as the Brandon, but its significantly sharper at the edge of the field.

It has substantially more eye relief than Kellners and is substantially sharper at the edge of the field. Maybe Nyke confused this eyepiece with an old kellner. The RKE's have substantially more field of view than the UO,s I've compared them with.

I've used the 15mm Edmund RKE with many scopes, ranging basically from a 4" f/5 TeleVue all the way to a 14" Celestron SCT with similar results. With a field stop of only 12 or 13mm the edge of the field of view should be of about the same quality in just about any scope and this has been my experience. Clear skies!
