>I spoke with Harry on thephone before buying 3 of his eyepieces and he is a very nice guy. But, his eyepieces need some work to perfect them. I sold all of mine and bought televue eyepieces. The optics in Harry's eyepices are not very good in my opinion and I have had almost every kind of eyepiece you can buy.

Staruser's review is on an eyepiece that has been discontinued. Although this was not a bad eyepiece and I must admit rarely ever getting them back people were almost universally happy with them. A few years back this eyepiece was rated on scopereviews.com by Ed Ting who is a well known reviewer. His comment was that it was a good eyepiece for the money, but was a little soft at the field's edge. You might use this information to weigh a future used purchase. It is my opinion that it is very important to read all of the comments very carefully since the voting system can be very confusing. It would seem an inporprtionate weight is given to "trustworthy votes". This is understandable in a certain sense, but does not necessarily invalidate the comments from those who choose to remain anonymous. Carefully reading the reviews can at times give very important information and many times people do sign their name to them.

This person did purchase an optically blem eyepiece for only $89. It is also a discontinued eyepiece. It has be significantly been outmoded by the 32mm Ultra Plus eyepiece. He also only returned this eyepiece for a refund and never asked for any type of explanations or replacements. If I am contacted I would be more than happy to work out the purchase of a better eyepiece. The performance of this eyepiece does have a lot to do with the scope it is used with.

Harry, you yourself are rated as a trust worthy user, but you question the rating system. What makes you think your vote carries more weight than a nontrust worthy user? In reality, your eyepieces are marketed with some premium eyepiece manufactors and falling short in terms of quality of construction and optical performance. You try to justify yourself with fast talk, but your product remains the same, poor quailty and overpriced.
