The view is stunning, sharp and contrasty right out to the edge of the field. Focus is fast and silky-smooth. They are lucky, too -- last week at the Grand Canyon they were able to zero in on seven California condors, soaring overhead. Now being repaired by Pentax, I miss them terribly. They weigh 24 ounces, more than I usually would take on a trip to Europe, but now I know I will not be able to leave them behind.

Now I have received them back from Pentax (Colorado), repaired at no charge (though the warranty doesn't actually cover damage due to being dropped). Though I got mine for $430 from an eBay seller, I think this is an anomaly, as most advertised prices are about $150 more.
