Starsplitter 8" Tube
Excellent optics once it's cooled. Planetary views outsatnding (five moons of Saturn, etc). Excellent craftmanship on the woodwork. A bit heavy for an 8" (mostly the oversize tube box) but that just makes it more stable.

Excellent optics once it's cooled. Planetary views crisp and outstanding (five moons of Saturn, etc). Excellent craftmanship on the woodwork. A bit heavy for an 8" (mostly the oversize tube box) but that just makes it more stable. Heavy eyepieces can make the tube drop depending on how the focuser is oriented but it's worth it to have the rotating tube, a very nice feature, especially for kids.
