Though I think it has been ravaged by Funimation and completely over-censored, the American version is all I have to look at. Despite what has been done to it, it is still extremely popular and with good reason. Not only does it have a great story-line, the characters are funny, the animation is great, the fights are awesome and the series was so successful they broke it apart into three different shows. My favorite of which is DBZ, the one I am voting for, which stemmed from Dragonball. I'm no critic, and I don't speak for the public, just myself--but I love this show with a passion. When I first saw dubbed Sailor Moon in second grade, I loved it so much
I woke up at 5:30 AM in the morning just to see the reruns. That is
how I got into anime. When my dad used to complain about the noisiness of the "cartoon " I would turn around, and say angerily, "It's NOT a cartoon,
it's ANIME. "....WHY, if you hate an anime so much, do you even vote
poorly for it?

Can you not just leave us alone with our "crappy" anime, and keep your
mouth shut? I haven't flamed anyone elses anime, much less your favorite,
whatever it is. If you want to complain about DBZ, go to one of those chat
rooms and complain about it....at least do it behind our backs.

To insult Dragonball Z is not to insult anime in general. I like shows such as Rurouni Kenshin, Ranma 1/2, and Vision of Escaflowne, and I also hate shows like Dragonball Z, La Blue Girl, and Pokemon. You seem to have such a thick head that you can't realize that this is a RATINGS board, so people can either express their hatred or their love for a show. Believe it or not, there are some shitty anime shows out there, and hating a shit show like Dragonball Z does not mean that I hate anime as a whole. And Dragonball Z is pure sewage in my opinion. You can say that Dragonball Z is the best, and I can also say that it's unfiltered shit. Live with it. Your argument is absolutely pointless in a web site that PROMOTES expressing OPINION. Get it?! I gave it a 10 because I love the show. To me the animation was not the best but it was still good enough. The story line was O.K., but the thing that I just hated was that Goku was almost never in action, but that will most probably change soon(I hope). The characters to me were exellent, I know that everyone's favorite character is Goku. To me Goku is also my most favorite, but my favorite beside Goku has to be Uulonge(the pig), he is just way too funny.

Dragon ball z is the coolest, I love it. I've only seen up to the episode in the Freeza saga where goku creates the spirit bomb. So far it kicks ass, i'm sure it gets better.
