Never get sick of it. Always sonething to see. Don't see how anyone could have ever thought the craters were volcanic in origin. A view of the southern hemisphere a day or two after 1st quarter reveals craters piled on top of each other. Had to be caused by impact. Luna? Doesn't that just mean "moon" in Latin? There has to be a better proper name for it.

Whenever I look at it, with the unaided eye or through a scope, it still chills me to think "We've been there."
So for me it will always stand as an example of our collective perseverance and that nothing is beyond our reach.

BTW, since the first permanently manned space station is called Space Station Alpha, does that mean that the first moon base will be called Moon Base Alpha? :-)

Well, given that July 20th of this year is the 32nd anniversary of the first Lunar landing in 1969, as well as this being also the 1st year of the 21st Century, I reckoned that now would be an auspicious time to type in the lyrics of the following Leslie Fish song...
