Nice eye-relief for 2.5 mm. Mine had slight color ghost on one side of objects when placed at field center; ghost seemed to go away when object moved to one spot near field edge, and moved when eyepiece rotated. Suspect some problem with centering of internal elements.

Contrast is a little low, but this is offset (IMHO) by exceptional eye relief. This is a high power eyepiece that one can really use.

Was pleasantly surprised by it's performance. No false color, good field. Not for every scope. Has sparked an interest in splitting doubles with my Mak-Newt. Completely worthless in my SCT. Splitting doubles in it with a UO 5mm Ortho was a pain. If the scope can handle it, this makes it comfortable to do so.

Superb eyepiece! I have side-by-side tested the Vixens against Radians and they are just as good in every category. Stars are tack sharp right to the edge of the field with no fall-off in brightness. I have the entire set. This is a surprising eyepiece to use due to the vast eye relief. When the seeing has been excellent, I have had some wonderful views with this eyepiece.

Excellent eyepiece for bright items. Make sure you have enough aperture to handle as it does "eat-up" light. TV powermate with a TV plossl to achieve the same magnifaction much better to use on faint items.

Pretty good under the right conditions. I have used it with a Takahashi 4" refractor, but even with those superb optics, it still requires very steady conditions to achieve acceptable results. The fov is good for glasses wearers,and it only displays minute color fringing on the Moon or planets. At its reasonable price, I think it's quite a good buy.

With a 90mm f10 refractor, coma made viewing
bright stars impossible. Dark view, yet my favorite
for viewing our Moon, extremely flat field to edge.
However, its unusable for stars or deep sky.

Very nice and nicely priced eyepiece. Love the eye relief! It's not for stars, but is a very nice eyepiece for those power views of the moon. It's like flying over it up close. I use this eyepiece with 3" and 4" (Stellarvue and Genesis) refractors; and when seeing conditions are good, nice detail can be noticed on Jupiter and Saturn. At this power, it's dimmer of course, but the detail is worth it.
