These guys are great. Excellent customer service, delivery always on-time, and a great return policy. Prices are sometimes a little high, but maybe the great service is worth it. It was in my case when I returned some poor-quality (not Orions fault) merchandise and was promptly given a full refund. They have an awesome selection of products and a very nice catalog. I am a loyal customer and will continue to order from Orion.

Ordered several things from Orion. I guess it's the newbian thing. But they do have some cool stuff. But make sure to check around on pricing for larger items. Their prices are a bit higher than some of the others. But you do have the 30-day return. I've definitely used it and have probably saved $ just on that point alone.

Good and fast service. I would give it a ten if the people answering the emails were a little more knowledgable. For example, one time I asked them will the SVD support an 8" SCT OTA. In the response, the person didn't mention a thing about SCTs and started talking about GPs. still, good service compared to Celestron/Meade

Great catalog, great selection of products, good delivery time, and excellent customer service. When I had a problem with only 1 defective item out of many items that I have purchased, Jack, the tech support person that I had dealings with, was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to resolve that
one problem. The rest of the staff was friendly, courteous, and were informed about the products that I asked about or ordered. I would give Orion a perfect 10, but their pricing is slightly higher than some other Astronomy stores that I have dealt with. I trust Orion and Astronomics for my astronomy needs.

Have ordered two Orion (the Intes MN-61 they sell) from them, both outstanding optically. The 30 day no questions return policy is great. Service was quick and shipping was the same even during the Christmas holiday. Prices on things are higher than other dealers, so I took off a couple of points. People on the phone are nice and the service guy is very nice and will answer questions.

I have never purchased anything from Orion by mail order, but I have made many purchased from their store in San Francisco. When I was getting back into the hobby after being absent from the Hobby for 20 years, I met Marshall, the manager in their SF Store, and he was very helpful in rekindling my intrest in Astronomy. In, fact it made me feel like a kid again! Because of all the time he spent with me, When I was decided on a Celestar, they were out of the Regular Celestar 8, Their Cupertino store had it, so I went down there to purchase one. Then, I thought Why not spend the extra money and purchase the Celestar 8 Deluxe instead, so I drove up to San Francisco just to purchase my scope from Marshall instead. They have always been very helpful, whenever I have had to return an item, There was absolutely no hassle. I have not been able to go their store in San Francisco in quite a while, as my job has put me out of the area, but whenever I get back to the Bay Area you can be sure I will go back in to visit.

Orion is on top as far as service. No questions asked if the item is within the warrenty period it's replaced. Courteous sales and service people both on the net and on the phone. It would be a ten instead of a nine if the pricing was just a bit more competitve. I'll use them again.
