This was the first japanamation anime i ever saw and it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The main problem was the confusing plot, but the action made up for it. This rating is well deserved.

I understood the whole story. Teh moral of the story is that if you have to much power you'll abuse it. This fucking movie made me fell asleeep 2 times since it was so boring. I think that this anime was just to old for me or something.

How could anyone think this is boring? I was at the edge of my seat watching this. The storyline is really interesting because not everything is spelled out for you. The scene with the bear coming alive and was really creepy. something always dream about.The movie is a little hard to follow but that just makes you want to watch it more. I think this should be in everyone's anime collection.

1). It does have a plot.
2). They did show akira at the end
3). It is not confusing
4). You are too Young to watch it

REally I mean it. you got to be at least 14 or so to watch it or else you'll have no Idea that the hell is going on. But if you are like 40 or 50 you won't enjoy it too much beacause the wole theme is a bit kiddish. but overall it did keep me WIDE awake and I did enjoy it alot but not as much as GHOST IN THE SHELL

Akira is cool, it's fleshy, gory, and it kicks ass. This movie had a very well done plot and I thought that Totsuro was cool, especially with that cool spiked hair and red cape making him a dark lord, or something like that, well I liked it and really recomend this to anyone.

This movie was one of the first anime's I'd seen and it definatly left an impression. I think it still holds up now even compared to the some of the newer titles out there. It's a little tough to follow without multiple viewings and an open mind. But it's worth the work. Great animation, great story, and overall a great movie. Will outclass most Hollywood films and animations for years to come. Doesn't quite get a 10, but comes very damn close.

I thought this was a really good,thought provoking movie.I love it because of it's epic feel,and weird parts (teddy bear,the big Tetsuo monster).Very unique,great animation,ans certainly way better than the boring Ghost in the Shell.

This anime is horrible, it has a horrible story line, is depressing, makes no sensce, and has bad character, and whats with the blob?!?!?!? The only reason I gave it a 1 is because it has a good artist(for what he draws)!
