Double Cluster
One of my favorite objects. Lots of different colored stars.

Double Cluster
I think I got hooked on this object during a period of
about 4 years when the only 'scope I owned was a Pronto.
This 'scope though limited in aperture, showed off bright clusters admirably.
With a 14mm Meade UW in the 2" diagonal, the double cluster was the highlight
of every observing session where it was well placed.

Double Cluster
unsung treasure in the sky, overlooked to a certain degree(in my view)because it does not carry a messier number! In a medium scope using a low power wide field eyepiece it is simply stunning.

Double Cluster
Simply beautiful! Even from light-polluted skies. Although spectacular from a dark-sky site. Close-call between this, M13, and M42.

Double Cluster
Double Cluster was one of the first views in my ETX-90. Having looked at DSO "smudges" all night, the Dbl Cluster was a pleasant diversion and is a true diamond in the sky.

Yes, nice and easy, but not that marvelous once you have been fishing for globulars/clusters around the Scorpious tail or thereabout

Absolutely beautiful! Looks wonderful when viewed through a wide-field, large-aperture 'scope.

I love the overall view of this cluster especially with the Home brew 8" Binoculars I was allowed to use at a star party one evening. The Wide angle and depth of view was truely breathtaking.

Double Cluster
The best open star cluster(s) in the sky, and the best non-messier object. The Northern Jewel Box, but a twin set. A chance alignment of two different star clusters not acually associated with one another (or so I understand). Wide field viewing perscribed!

A correction: The NGC designations are 869 and 884 (not 88).
