Only one transaction with them so far but it was perfect in every way. Outstanding communication, a product exactly as described at an excellent price, a very courteous helpful staff. Two thumbs up for Roger at RVR.

Purchased scope from RVR which required a warrenty replacement of a part, which was handled courteously, and promptly. Roger sells a good product and stands behind it.

I busted a part of my EQ4 mount (my own fault)which I had bought from Roger.
I emailed him and he was kind enough to source for me the replacement part at a more than reasonable price.

The service and pricing are excellent with emails replied promptly. The delivery was slightly earlier than his estimate. I will not hesitate to do business with him again.

Ordered a large (400mm) ASKO Telescope through RVR. Found out later that RVR had more than doubled the price from ASKO. Telescope had a defective mirror and goto system. I had to sue RVR in order to recover partial compensation for having the telescope repaired. IN the process of the lawsuit, I learned that RVR was also being sued by a invalid veteran who had spent his life savings on a misrepresented telescope from RVR. The veteran won the lawsuit and RVR didn't even show up in court. But RVR had transfered the funds to hidden accounts and the veteran was unable to recover his funds. I assisted his attorney after the disaster I had been through with RVR.

Earlier, I had ordered a 10" refractor through RVR. The telescope arrived in a crude wodden crate with a blanket and a sofa cushion as the only packing. The black paint on the interrior of the telescope was pealing off in multiple places and the objective lens had white powdery deposits all over it. RVR had it cleaned but returned the objective shattered. Roger Re refused to refund the purchase price. Instead he offered to give me a "deal" on the ASKO telescope mentioned above, supposidly foregoing any profit in the deal himself.

All together it took five years and $10,000 in legal expenses to straighten this out. Caveat Emptor; this guy is a major con man and crook.
