I ordered 2 Bogen products from them. One order by phone and the other by email and had no problems. They do the quick NYC sales so get all your info elsewhere then buy from them for the great prices. I would use them again.

Celestron as a manufacturer is a different matter.

Placed an order for a Ultima barlow,they said they had it in stock,waited 10 days and called them as to the statis of my order,,,they said its scheduled to ship on Monday which is 2 wks after i placed the order,prices are great but the delays without explanations as to why it wasn't shipped sooner leave a little to be desired.I rate them a low 8 high 7.

I bought a N4, upgraded to a N5, then N8. They were prompt and refunded within a reasonable amount of time, even with the Twin Towers disaster not far away.
I have not seen better pricing anywhere. Adorama also e-mails the invoice and tracking numbers when shipped. Product was always shipped the next workday.

I have been ordering from Adorama for over 13 years. I like their excellent prices and fast delivery speed. Even backordered items come fast. Their web site is very good, and I suggest that you use it rather than call in an order - their phone manners can be atrocious. I worry if I should ever have to call in a problem about an order.
Here is my most recent encounter with the rude dude of West 18th Street: I was calling in a several thousand dollar order and asked for a quote and delivery time. The guy said their regular telescope sales rep was out and that I should call back in a week. He hung up before I could say anything. Needless to say, someone else got this order.
Their terrible phone manners knocks them down from a 10 to an 8.

I've had dealings with Adorama for over 10 years and all my orders have come promptly and with quality packing. I've never had to exchange anything, so I can't comment on their service. Used the web site for my most recent purchase and was quite pleased with the whole experience.

I gave them a rating of eight because of their phone manners. But their web site service is fantastic. So, I'm coming back with a ten to average my vote to a nine. I like getting email confirmation of my order placement AND when it is shipped. This site works superbly.

Prices are the best hands down. At first I didn't appreciate the New York attitude. I've learned how to deal with that. They'll even go lower than the already low advertised prices when I asked "What's your price on that?" I don't know if it's because I'm a repeat customer or just a back East thing(haggling on prices). I did get the backorder without being informed spiel once. Now I know to ask if it's in stock. Shipping has always been quick and packaging superb. I never thought I'd like these guys at first but they're really starting to grow on me. What's with the Friday afternoon through Saturdays off thing? Is that for religious reasons?

I ordered an EP and vibe pads on 1/20 and they were on my doorstep 1/22. If you're a beginning astronomer do your homework as to what you want and give them a call. The reason I gave them an 8 is because they're not a full service astronomy shop due to their general lack of product knowledge. If you already know what you need they do have great prices.

I was shopping for a 5.2mm Pentax XL they were $25.00 cheaper then Anacortes. They are in NYC so they are quick to make the sale and get off the phone. I have ordered both by phone and internet and have never had a problem. I have ordered seven items and returned one because I didn't like the product, no problems at all.
Someone else said to gather all your information from other sources and when you decide on the product you want to buy, call them to get the best prices. I totally agree. They are not rude on the phone but just in a rush. You just can't beat their low prices! A 10

I live in central NJ but I ordered a Pelican case on Monday at 12:00pm and recieved the case on Tuesday 3:30pm. Just do your reseach else where and when you decide on the product call them for the lowest prices and fast shipment.

I have bought a number of items (binoculars, telescopes, accessories) from Adorama. I've always found their prices among the lowest, items in stock, prompt shipping and all items received in sealed boxes. They do not offer a lot of advice over the phone and always try to sell you something you don't need, but will always sell the advertised product at the advertised price.

The only time I ever shop elsewhere is because Adorama doesn't carry the product I am looking for. 9 out 10 times the have the lowest prices. I have also used their online site to buy and I have not any problems. Highly Recommended!

Rquested a price quote from their web site for Fujinon binoculars, received a response almost immediately. Lowest price by far. Ordered them the next day, was promised 3 day delivery. Received them at 1:30 PM, the thrid day. Arrived in perfect condition. A very straight forward transaction. Now if it would only stop raining...

Just bought a Thousand Oaks Olll and their own brand of planetary filters (set). Prices are the lowest by far (they offer an additional 7% discount when ordering 2 or more filters and that's from already low prices) and shipping was next day for far less than others charge. Simply can't be beat!

Adorama may have excellent prices, but they drag their feet to ship out your order.

I ordered on Saturday, with Monday being a Holiday, and they did not ship out until late Wednesday. Their 3-day UPS Select service did not benefit me, as I did not receive my order until the following Monday.

In total, it took 9 days from ordering to receiving (New York to Chicago.) This time lag could have been substantially reduced if they valued customer attention.

Also, their shipping and handling prices are way overpriced. There's no value in paying 2-3x more in shipping over the competition to get your order 9 days later.
