Mitsubishi DD-2000
I bought it to match it up with my Mitsu SVHS and 50" TV. We got it for $489US. I think the audio section is fine, maybe a bit harsh on the higher frequencies. The low freq response is awesome (it blows away my old CD player, a Sony that's a couple of years old).

We've not noticed any video problems. It plays clear and sounds great. I like the feature where you can pick up the playback from where you left off, it's really handy and once you have it........

The case is quite attractive to my eye, and I'm glad that they left off useless controls, and instead moved them to the remote.

I'm happy with it and would recommend it.
I give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Mitsubishi DD-2000
I had played around with MANY DVD players before purchasing the Mitsubishi DD-2000, and found many I liked. However, the Mitsubishi is just plain smooth. Granted, it doesn't have one major item, the DTS output, but it pretty much has everything else.

It is especially noteworthy that since this unit is a year old, many stores are selling them at excellent prices. I saw the DD-3000 (has the Optical Out) for $399 shortly after I bought the DD-2000 for a little less.

The video and audio are pretty much flawless, and the best part is the smooth fast forward/rewind review... On the Toshiba and Panasonic models in the same class, the fast forward/rewind seemed to skip ahead a few seconds after I had found where I wanted to view. The DD-2000 does not have this problem.
