Great movie. For those who haven't seen it, Get "Robotech: Battle of the Battlenoids", available most mail order places....To see the original, check out the Comic conventions...or, of course, Anime conventions..


WonderCon (in Oakland, CA, today and yesterday and the day before that) had it at 2 or 3 booths.

I really like the story plot, but I think Hikaru Ichijo acted sort of stupid in the movie than in the TV show. It has good charecters, and I like the action in it.

Macross: Do You Remember Love?
The story was touching. Human emotions were strongly explored and excellently depicted in animation. Never heard such touching songs. Simply love it. The only minus point was the deviation from the original TV series. Eg. Hikari's love for Misa did not develop overnight. Min May's affection for Hikaru was never so strong. And lastly Roy Fokker's death was more glorious in the TV series.

I just got "Clash of the Bionoids" last week and I LOVED IT. It's the dubbed version of DYRL and the voice actors didn't do a good job on it. And the Zentraedi voices are kinda muffled and hard to understand. My tape is 120 minutes and I was wondering if this is the un-edited version. My tape has nudity and gruesome violence (i.e. blood splattering). Do I have the original version? (besides the fact that it's dubbed.) Where can I get the soundtrack CD for DYRL anyways? The music is so awesome with that Japanese flavor to it. Every Macross/Robotech fan should see this, but after a year of watching Robotech because you're going to get confused with the storylines if you watch DYRL after a week of watching Robotech. The animation has the same flavor but just improved but the soundtrack totally rocks.

I have only seen the 80's version of "Clash", with tons of editing, they tried to make it a kids film, Gag me! Dubbing was less than perfect, but I don't mind. What I did mind is how they made it look like Hikaru died in the end, and how almost all of the songs were removed. I want to know what the best all- around version is. Is thir an un-edited dub? I need help here at Chenalos@aol.com. I know you're reading this, so feed me some answers please.

I haven't seen the movie "Macross Do You Remember Love?" yet but I have read the profiles and stories and I find that it is an excellent story. It shows the power of love through songs while there is an intergalactic war going on. Plus I lovethe love triangle between Lynn Minmei, Hikaru, and Misa. I like the ending and who finally gets Hikaru, but don't worry I'n not going to spoil the ending for those who haven't seen it yet. It airs on the Cartoon Netwok as Robotech with the Macross series which eveolves around Rick hunter the American name for Hikaruand the charcters from the original "Macross" movie. The next series is Southern Cross which evolves around Dana Sterling the daughter of Max Sterling and Miryia Sterling the America names for Max and Miria Jainus. The next series is after an alien force called the Invid overuns the Earth and Admiral Hunter sends part of the REF(Robotech Expiditionary Force) back to earth to reclaim humanity's home. I jt got the movie "Superdimensional Fortress Macross Do You Remember Love" and it is the greatest anime I have ever seen in my life. The only thing wrong with it was the dubbing so I plan to try and get the subtitled version as well. The music, romance, and love triangle add to this anime. Thank God Hikaru chose Misa over Minmay. But I must say that the ending of this movie was certainly the best part, right as soon as Hikaru hand Minmay the Lyrics and the music comes on and Hikaru takes off. I hope they have movies in the future to come with Misa and Hikaru married and maybe a child of theirs who's a pilot. Over all this is is the best anime ever created i don't care what anybody says. Do YOU remember love?

This was and still IS a classic.Made in 1984,it was one of the revolutionary animes of japan and it is still very very popular in japan today(especially since there was a 15th anniversary of Macross last year)Lynn Minmay used to be a household name in japan and her posters were put up in almost every teenager's wall.In short,Macross is fantastic(though i do not like Robotech very much i have to admit, because the storyline was changed a great deal)No protests,this is one of the best!

Epic. Could be a nine since it might be somewhat difficult to follow the first time around by someone not familiar with Macross or with Robotech fans that wait for the Robotech masters to appear. For diehard macross fans though, it is 120 minutes of candy to the eye.

actually i haven't seen the movie but the T.V. series i hear is the movie broken down sooo.... It was a touching love story with action, guns, space ships, missles, Ahhhhhh the perfict movie, in the end i hate to admit it but i cried because of the main charicters' death such as Vanissa, Sammy, and Cpt. Gloval but the good thing is is that Rick, Lisa, and Minmai sort out there fealings and they finally get married and possibly have a child ( Rick & Lisa ).
I hope that the southern cross ie The Robotech Masters is made into a movie as well as the sentinals and the Invid. war a definate ten

Macross: Love, Do You Remember? is simply one of the best anime movies I have ever seen. It has a perfect mix of action, romance, and great character development. I reccommend that everyone see it at least once; I have personally seen it at least a dozen times and still enjoy it. In my opinion, the only anime movie to come close to Macross is Gundam: Char's Counterattack, a brilliant movie in it's own right. I hope that the subtitled version becomes more widespread as it is much more accurate than both the edited and unedited dubbed versions. "Do you remember when your eyes met mine?" I got the full dub, and now I THIRST for the subb (but what I realy want to do is RE-DUBB it, I'm working on a script now). The laguage use is confusing, the dubbing is tin can and the acting is cardboard, but through all that, the movie still delivers it's emotional message, It's like a bird flapping its wings, but trapped inside a terribly dubbed cage. Love, do you remeber is totaly butchered, as minmay stops singing completly to make way for lines delivered as dramaticly as a porno film, and Hikarus explination for why he slapps Minmay is schetchy, at best.
