In my day, this is one that I watched the most. Whether it be the five-lion version or the 15-piece version, it is still a good show. Majorily dated by today's anime standards, I rather watch this than the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Pukemon, or that Pokaman ripoff Digishit.

If I rate this show according to the standard of the 90s animes, it would get a 3 or 4.

So to be fair I need to compare it with the old shows, but it still does not come close to beating Grandizer or Spaceketeers.

I can't believe you people, bashing VOLTRON, of all shows! Have you no respect for your favorite shows elders! One of the shows that helped give anime the notoriety it was looking for in the old days (along with Robotech, battle of the planets and Starblazers) Without shows like those, there probably wouldn't have been much of an underground anime fan base to start buying all the anime tapes that came out in 1990. without those people (like myself) who grew up on this "gem" Craving more and buying just about anything that even remotely looked likee voltron, the producers of anime would not have seen the US as untapped potential and all those Evangelion tapes you own would be in Spanish and French..Not english. Have a little respect, will ya!
