Maybe, just maybe, the best 7x35 ever made....very bright, incredible resolution, sharp edge to edge, compact, take-it-with-you-anywhere size and comfortable to hold...very good eye relief (abt 17mm), smooth focus and surprisingly rugged...no armoring is a small drawback (wd b especially nice 2 hv rubber obj rings) as is the fov-7.3*....if Nikon had designed in an 8* field....this, IMHO, wd be the perfect all-around glass.....it will resolve distant detail better than ANY 7x glass I ever tried (except maybe the Nikon Prostar), has no color and will close focus without parallax...I regrettably sold mine to get a B&L Discoverer to get a wider field and some weatherproofing....wish I cd hv kept both...the 7x E model isnt made any longer but they turn up on ebay from time to time, usually for less than $150....if you see a good one there, GRAB IT!....you won't be disappointed.
