Celestron Plossl 32mm
I rate this EP a 10 based on overall performance and value. For me, it's a keeper. On my 8" f/6 newt, this EP has less coma at the edges than the 30 mm Ultima I used to own. For me, this one works better that the Ultima. I sold the Ultima because of coma, and because it did not barlow well using shorty barlow. This one works much better with my barlow. No major "blackout" effect like the Ultima.

Celestron Plossl 32mm
I've had this for several years, and I basically agree with all the other comments, except someone suggested that it sold for twice the price of a $49 eyepiece. I don't believe I paid more than $55 to $60 tops for it brand new. My low power workhorse, it suits me just fine. "Blackouts" are very, very rare, and I don't notice any field curvature or distortion at all. Very comfortable and easy to use. Contrast is probably middle of the pack- pretty good, but not quite equal to the premium brands- a little brightening of the background sky, not a "velvet black backdrop". Nice quality throughout- after years of repeated use (and abuse), I've never had the slightest problem with it.

This is an excellent eyepiece! I was lucky to snag one of the last ones for sale at Pocono. Very sharp views of stars, moon, and no distortion at edges.
I am glad I chose this over the newer Nexstar Plossl (silver top and body!-why???).

Worth purchasing for those on a budget. Views are pleasant and pleasing. Throws up a clear and wide field of view. The first eye piece I reach for, again, and again. I truly showed me that you do not need a high magnification to achieve a decent view. Spectacular...

I have heard that the Celestron 32 and the OMCON 32 are the exact same eyepiece
(heard it from the salesman at Lumicon. They come from the same factory in Taiwan. The OMCON 32 was $49.00 and the Celestron 32 was selling for twice as much.

I have the Celestron 32 AND the OMCON 32, and the OMCON gets star party duty - not as sharp to the edge and less contrast in my fast F5 and slow F10 refractors. At least my two are NOT the same.
