Pro-Optic Ultrawide 6mm

I had the 6,9 &15mm ,used on a 150 refractor, and to be honest ; I was really dissapointed. Compared to Ultimas and TV plossls, albeit with only a 52 deg. fov,no contest. Contrast was mediocre at best.Couldn't get the 6mm to come to focus when barlowed. Background was too bright. Maybe I had some bad ones. Not worth the extra FOV these use as a selling point. Stick with the Ultima's or TV's. or something of better known quality.

Pro-Optic Ultrawide 6mm

In my 4 inch f 8.6 refractor, it serves up great images of palnets and clusters. Great views of the moon, too. This eyepeice is succeptible to extraneous light, but nothing objectionable - I cup my hand next to my viewing eye, and the reflection is gone. The field of view is really terrific (and addicting). I have to say that at the price you can get one of these, they represent RARE value. The eyepiece is also sensitive to eye position, but at this focal length, and with the decent eye relief that it offers, this should not surprise anyone. Highly recommended.

Pro-Optic Ultrawide 6mm

Made in Taiwan for Adorama Camera, has multicoated optics (with greenish hue). Nice, professional appearance. Large eye lens. In 20" f/5, image compared well to 7mm Nagler in brightness, sharpness and contrast. In 18" f/4.5, image compared well to 78mm UO orthoscopic. At $49 this has to be a Best Buy.
