Description:The VR-970's are sold as matched pairs. Each has it's own 12 " dual duty driver in addition to the built-in 10 " woofer. When the source material does not contain a LFE track, the 12 " acts as a passive radiator. With an LFE track, the 12 " driver serves as a true subwoofer.

I think that is awesome! I am brazilian and buyed it for a small price. The sound is clear, the bass amazing and the design help me because I didn't have place to put a subwoofer.
That's a great speaker and a excellent choice.

INSANE speakers for the price. Match well with other BA VR-series speakers, handle power well, imaging is great, and the subs THUMP. Well worth it.

This pair of speakers got to be listened to be belived. They are incredible. The tweeter is clean. The 10 inch sub and 12 inch radiator are verr tight with deep bass. Make sure you use monster cable interconnect 300 mk2 or 400 mk2 to connect to the speaker's LFE input to have this deep tight bass sound. I am speechless after I bought this pair. Truely the top of the line

The use of 2 midrange drivers can make these slightly 'center-heavy' in non EQ'd environments (e.g., digital source material). The transparency of this speaker though, is outstanding, even at high power levels.
